I named my daughter Ambrosia for several reasons. I'm a Dietitian so the name is quite appropriate as "food of the Gods" , her father is from Milano where the Patron Saint is St Ambrogio , and lastly two of my old boyfriends had the name Ambrose as their middle names. It was all pointing towards Ambrosia for a girl and Ambrose for a boy. She will be 18 in March and I personally have never met another Ambrosia however I have been told about 2 other girls (the cousin of my Italian dentist and a nurse in a hospital once told me that a baby had been admitted with that name). I always receive compliments when I tell people the name of my daughter. It's a very feminine name and looks and sounds beautiful.
