Biography
Sverre Lunde Pedersen /2sʋære 2lʉnde 1peːdersen/ (born 17 July 1992) is a Norwegian speed-skater. He is the son of former speed-skater Jarle Pedersen. He is a two-time World Junior Champion and represents the club Fana Idrettslag.
He represented Norway at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In 2011 he was 6th in the European Championships in Collalbo and 14th in the World Championships in Calgary. In 2012 he finished 7th at the European Championships, with a 2nd place on the 1500 m, and 8th at the World Championships.
At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi he finished 5th on the 5000 m. Later that day he insinuated that the Dutch ice skaters (who finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd) were doping. "I would definitely not say that the Dutch are cheating. They have been on top for years. But when you see how Kramer wins here and you consider that they perform far fewer checks in the Netherlands, then this isn't right." says Pedersen.
