I am learnimg Russan and this name has always buffled me because "Alev" means "flame" in Turkish and is also used as a girl's name. I wonder this name "Alev" was combined with Tina to give Alevtina. This may not be the case but Turkic and Slavic peoples have shared the Eurasian steppes for mllenia and such name borrowings do exist. An example is Damir which is drived from the Turkiah male name "Demir" which means "iron".. (Variants Emir Temir / Timur or Tamerlane of Timurid empire) Another one is "Ruslan" which means "strong Rus" "lan" is a Turkish suffix meaning "strong and powerful like a beast" and is found in names of large animals of pray like "Arslan" meaning "lion" and "Kaplan" meaning "tiger"..
