Alice Ripley

Alice Ripley is an American stage, film, and television actor, as well as a singer, songwriter, and mixed media artist. She is known, in particular, for her various roles on Broadway in musicals, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning Next to Normal (2009 Tony Award, Best Actress in a Musical) and Side Show (1998 Tony nomination). Ripley can soon be seen starring in the Off-Broadway premiere of the musical, A Christmas Memory, based on the short story by Truman Capote. Performances begin November 25, 2014.

Ripley just wrapped shooting on the short film, The Way I Remember It, which also stars Christine Ebersole. Ripley plays the lead in the new film, SUGAR!, which wrapped shooting in August. SUGAR! will feature a soundtrack with songs sung by Ripley (written by Graham Russell, Steve O'Reilly, and Joan Jett). Ripley's film, Bear With Us, also wrapped in August, and another film, Muckland, comes out this year. Ripley stars in the 2013 short film, Sing Along. Her 2011 feature film, Isn't It Delicious, continues to make the rounds of the festival circuit, winning awards at the Rainier, Tupelo, and Manhattan film festivals.

Alice Ripley has written and produced albums with her band, RIPLEY. The single, "Beautiful Eyes", was released in February 2012.

She performs as a solo artist, as well, most recently presenting two concert series, "Ripley Reflects" and "Alice Imagines", at the New York City venue, 54 Below. In February 2011, Ripley and co-producer Sh-K-Boom Records released Alice Ripley Daily Practice, Volume 1, a stripped-down collection of acoustic rock covers with Ripley accompanying herself on guitar.
