I'm originally from Bosnia. I've never heard the name Borjana, but Bojana (pron. BAW-yah-nah) is pretty frequent in the former Yugoslavia. Borjana struck me as a Slovenian name. I'm just guessing about the etymology, but "bor" in Serbo-Croatian means "pine tree".
