The name is translated to mean "friend", "friendly" or "allies" in the Yankton-Yanktonai and Santee dialects of the Lakota Sioux language.

I used to hate this name when I was a kid, but I think it suits me well now, considering the meaning. I always try to get along with everyone and help people whenever I can.
