Nermina means "hero", a brave girl.  But Bosnians always use turkish names, actually Nermina should come from Nermin and mean "soft". But they just took another signification even if they just copy the Turkish name. Cause in Bosnia lost of Turkish names are "stolen". And just by adding an "a" at the end of the name makes that name changes gender. That's why Nermin which is a girl's name in turkey becomes a man's name in Bosnia and by adding the "a", Nermina, it becomes a girl's name.
