Saah is a name given to the first male child of a female. The name is widely used by the Kissi ethnic group found in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The name is also used by the Kono ethnic group in Sierra Leone. Saah is part of a naming system developed centuries ago by the Kissi group found mainly along the Mano River which separates three countries. The Kissi naming system is based on the order of birth. First female male child is called Saah, second male Tamba, third male is Fayiah, fourth male is Fallah, Fifth male is Halie and sixth male child is Nymah.
